CMTBC welcomes Alison Esser, RMT, in the newly created role of Practice Advisor. The goal of this position is to provide guidance and support to RMTs who have questions about how to apply a professional requirement – whether from a practice standard, a bylaw, or the Code of Ethics – into their own practice.
Alison was educated as an RMT and is a CMTBC registrant; she also holds a Bachelor of Human Kinetics degree from the University of British Columbia. Alison has served on CMTBC’s Quality Assurance Committee since 2013, has taught at a recognized massage therapy education program in BC, and has maintained clinical practice in various practice environments in the Lower Mainland and on Vancouver Island. Alison’s interest and experience in research and in working collaboratively with other health professionals adds to her perspective as an RMT practice advisor.
RMTs can initiate contact with Alison by sending an email to [email protected].
