This is a reminder that all RMTs must complete the CMTBC-authored online course on the Code of Ethics and Practice Environment Standard by October 31, 2021. This is a registration renewal requirement for 2022. Credits for completion of the course are applied to Cycle 13.

The course instructions explain that RMTs have eight (8) weeks to complete the course, and that the timer starts on enrolment. However, because October 31, 2021 is less than eight (8) weeks from today’s date, you will have less than eight (8) weeks to complete the course by the deadline. Please enroll for the course as soon as possible.

You will be unable to renew registration for 2022 until you have successfully completed the Code of Ethics and Practice Environment Standard course.

If you registered for the course and it has subsequently expired, you will be required to re-enroll and pay the enrollment fee ($100) again to access the course. CMTBC staff will add an invoice for re-enrollment in your registrant portal and manually enroll you in the course upon receipt of the payment. RMTs are required to complete College-authored online courses that provide direct instruction on standards of practice and regulatory requirements. The course on the Code and Ethics and Practice Environment Standard is new in 2021. RMTs completed a different course – on the Boundaries and Consent standards of practice – in a previous reporting cycle.
