In September 2022, CMTBC provided an update to RMTs on the redesign of the Quality Assurance program, informing RMTs that, in early 2023, CMTBC would consult with RMTs on the redesign of the program. The new Quality Assurance program will be launched in January 2024.

CMTBC is now inviting applications from RMTs who wish to participate in the Quality Assurance Program Advisory Group.

In creating the Quality Assurance Advisory Group, CMTBC is seeking participation from RMTs with different backgrounds and practice environments, to reflect the diverse experiences and perspectives of registrants regulated by the College. For this reason, CMTBC welcomes applications from Black, Indigenous and other people of colour (BIPOC) registrants, registrants who are part of the LGBTQ2S+ community, registrants of all gender identities, registrants with disabilities, and registrants of all religions and ethnicities. In support of CMTBC’s work on Indigenous cultural safety and humility, CMTBC also welcomes and strongly encourages applications from Indigenous registrants.

Participation in the Quality Assurance Program Advisory Group requires an RMT to be available for up to two videoconference meetings, each of about two hours in length, between January and March 2023, with additional time prior to meetings for preparation. An honorarium will be given to RMTs for their involvement in the advisory group.

If there is significant interest, not all of those who apply may be able to participate. Only applicants selected to participate will be contacted. CMTBC will continue to provide opportunities for feedback and discussion during the redesign process, and will communicate with registrants on this topic throughout 2023.
