At its meeting on November 22, 2019, CMTBC’s Board approved a new three-year strategic plan for 2020-2022, which will supersede the current 2015-2020 strategic plan.
CMTBC’s Board election opens January 31, 2020 and will be hosted online. Nominations are open for three elected Board positions, for a two-year term starting April 1, 2020.
Registration renewal for 2020 opens Friday, November 1, 2019 at 9:00 a.m. PDT. The deadline for renewing your registration is December 15, 2019.
CMTBC has entered into an agreement to provide multi-year funding to the Canadian Massage Therapy Council for Accreditation (CMTCA), commencing January 1, 2020.
CMTBC’s total number of current registrants has reached 5,000. CMTBC is now BC’s fifth largest health regulatory college.
CMTBC is recruiting for a new Practice Advisor staff position focused on providing guidance and advice to RMTs on their professional obligations.
All CMTBC registrants will complete a new online course in Cycle 12 on the Boundaries and Consent Standards of Practice. The course will be mandatory for all practicing and non-practicing RMTs and will earn 10 credits on successful completion.
