The CMTBC Board has approved a new standard of practice on consent that defines expectations for RMTs in terms of how to obtain consent from patients for delivery of massage therapy.
Three elected CMTBC Board members will be stepping down on March 31, 2019, at the end of their two-year terms. Nominations are now open for the three Board positions.
A new feature built into the Registrant Portal enables RMTs to upload completion certificates for continuing education credits, edit CEC entries, and then click “Submit” to close your CE file for Cycle 11.
Registration renewal for 2019 opens November 1, 2018. The deadline for renewing your registration for 2019 is December 15, 2018. Before renewing, please ensure registration renewal requirements have been met.
QA Cycle 12 runs from November 1, 2018 to October 31, 2020. Requirements for Cycle 12 largely mirror those of Cycle 11, except that RMTs who are inactive for the entire cycle will be required to earn 12 CECs. Seven CECs will also be awarded to RMTs who complete a survey on CMTBC’s Next Generation QA Program that will follow Cycle 12.
