The next registration examination will be held in September 2023.
Applications for the September 2023 examination, including related documents and payment, must be received by 12 pm (noon) PST on May 31, 2023.
Candidates are required to complete three components of the registration examination:

The exam is held in a proctored computer lab. Venue details will be provided by email to exam candidates prior to the exam date.
Candidates can choose to attend the Performance-Based Assessment (PBA) on one of these dates:
September 19-22, 2023 OR September 26–29, 2023 OR October 3–6, 2023
The PBA will be held in Burnaby (Metro Vancouver). Venue information will be provided by email to exam candidates prior to their exam date.
Candidates from outside of BC’s Lower Mainland (e.g., the BC interior, northern BC, Vancouver Island, outside of BC) will travel to Burnaby for the PBA.
Candidates are enrolled in the online Law, Ethics and Professionalism (LEP) course as soon as they schedule the LEP exam in the Applicant Portal.
Candidates are advised to begin the Law, Ethics and Professionalism course at their earliest opportunity. Completion of the 10-module online course is a pre-requisite to the online LEP exam.

The safety of all persons involved in the registration examination is paramount. Enhanced safety protocols are followed, to minimize the risk of transmission of communicable diseases. Safety protocols are consistent with public health and safety guidance provided by BC’s Provincial Health Officer and the BC Centre for Disease Control. Details will be provided to candidates by email upon completion of exam enrolment.
CMTBC will modify requirements as appropriate, consistent with guidelines provided by BC’s Provincial Health Officer, BC’s Centre for Disease Control, WorkSafe BC, and BC Government’s Response to COVID-19.

CMTBC’s registration examination is generally held twice a year: once in late winter/spring and once in late summer/fall.
