JUNE 8, 2021: This requirement is consistent with COVID-19 measures, to minimize travel. While COVID-19 restrictions are subject to change, CMTBC still advises exam candidates to minimize travel.

Law, Ethics & Professionalism (LEP)

Candidates are enrolled in the online LEP course as soon as they complete scheduling the LEP exam in the Applicant Portal.

Candidates are advised to begin the Law, Ethics and Professionalism exam at their earliest opportunity. Completion of the ten-module online course is a pre-requisite to the online LEP exam.

The exam is held in a proctored computer lab. For the September 2021 sitting, the LEP exam will be held in one location only, in Surrey (Metro Vancouver).

JUNE 8, 2021: Candidates from outside of BC’s lower mainland (e.g., in the BC interior, northern BC, Vancouver Island, outside of BC) will travel to Burnaby for the PBA and are asked to complete the LEP during the same trip, to minimize travel. Candidates’ cooperation and understanding is appreciated.

Candidates will be assigned* a date and time for the online LEP exam. Assigned LEP exam times will correspond to candidates’ selection of their PBA date/time, and will be on one of these dates:

  • September 14 and 16, 2021
  • September 21 and 23, 2021 (during the PBA week)
  • September 28 and 30, 2021 (during the PBA week)

Candidates will not be scheduled for the LEP exam on the same day as their PBA unless they specifically request this by email to [email protected]. Requests must be received by the application deadline, July 15, 2021, and will be accommodated where possible. Requests received from candidates who live outside of the lower mainland will be given priority. Once exam dates and times are agreed to, change requests cannot be accommodated.
