CMTBC can now provide more details about its 2017 Annual General Meeting, which will be held April 29, 2017 at the Sandman Signature Vancouver Airport Hotel & Resort, 10251 St. Edwards Drive, Richmond, BC. For directions, see the map.
CMTBC’s AGM will be held back-to-back with the AGM of the Registered Massage Therapists’ Association of BC (RMTABC). Registration for both AGMs will open at 9:00 am. RMTABC’s AGM will begin at 9:30 am. Non-RMATBC members, or those who wish to attend only the CMTBC AGM, are free to register anytime up to 10:30 am.
CMTBC’s AGM will begin at 10:30 am and continue to noon. This year’s meeting will be slightly different from last year’s; the agenda (PDF) will consist primarily of four substantive items:
To allow sufficient time for presentation of the reports, questions on the reports, and debate and voting on the resolutions, individual committee reports will not be presented this year. CMTBC has posted its 2016 Annual Report (PDF), which contains a report from each committee, on the College’s website. Registrants are encouraged to review the Annual Report in advance of the AGM, and those who wish to do so may pose a question about any of the committee reports at the AGM. If there are questions that cannot immediately be answered at the meeting, CMTBC will post those questions, along with answers to each question, on the College’s website after the AGM.
This year’s AGM will not be webcast. Instead, CMTBC will post a video of the AGM on its website within a few days of the AGM. This will allow registrants who were unable to attend the AGM in person to view the meeting at their convenience. If a registrant wishes to ask a question that was not asked at the meeting, he/she may do so by emailing the question to [email protected] no later than 5:00 pm on May 29, 2017. Emailed questions on the AGM can only be accepted from registrants, who must supply their name and RMT number. The College will publish answers to those questions on its website.
