CMTBC posts 2018 Annual Report and Audited Financial Statements

CMTBC has posted the College’s 2018 Annual Report (PDF) and 2018 Audited Financial Statements (PDF) on the CMTBC website.

The Annual Report includes:

  • Reflections from Registrar Eric Wredenhagen and past Board Chair Claudia Lee on how regulation of health professions in BC is changing, and CMTBC’s role in that evolution;
  • A feature on the comprehensive boundaries and consent standards of practice that CMTBC introduced in 2018;
  • A feature on the work that CMTBC does to protect reserved titles, and why this work is important;
  • Reports from CMTBC committees on their 2018 activities;
  • Registration and inquiry statistics.

The Health Professions Act requires all health colleges to submit an annual report to the Ministry of Health once a year. To meet that requirement, and to communicate to registrants and the public, the College produced the 2018 Annual Report.

The Audited Financial Statements present information about CMTBC’s financial position and its operations. As required by CMTBC’s Bylaws, this information, together with a report from the auditor, will be presented at the 2019 Annual General Meeting, which will be held July 17, 2019 at the Holiday Inn Vancouver-Centre, 711 W. Broadway, Vancouver. The meeting will start at 1 pm.
