Draft bylaws for the College of Complementary Health Professionals of BC now available for feedback

Bylaws for the College of Complementary Health Professionals of BC (CCHPBC) have been drafted and are now available for public feedback until June 14, 2024, 4:30 pm.

The draft bylaws are based on the Bylaws of the four health profession regulatory colleges that will amalgamate on June 28, 2024, to form CCHPBC: College of Massage Therapists of BC, College of Chiropractors of BC, College of Naturopathic Physicians of BC, and College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists of BC.

The draft bylaws do not propose changes to regulated health professionals’ scope of practice, registration, fees, practice standards, or quality assurance requirements.

The draft bylaws propose that the maximum Board size for CCHPBC will be 12 members: six public members and six registrant members.

The draft bylaws also reflect a move toward regulatory modernization and, in some cases, are anticipating requirements in the Health Professions and Occupations Act (HPOA), expected to be in force sometime in 2025. The HPOA will replace the Health Professions Act.

To read the draft bylaws, please visit the temporary CCHPBC website’s Bylaws page.

Submit feedback on the draft bylaws until June 14 at 4:30 PM to:
