Practice Development Program Information Session to be held online on March 25, 2024

CMTBC will hold a Practice Development Program Information Session online via Zoom on March 25, 2024, beginning at 12:30 pm.

As RMTs begin to complete components of the Practice Development Program (PDP) and use the PDP Portal for the first time, questions will likely arise about the program and process. The March 25 information session will:

  • help RMTs understand the differences between the PDP and the previous model of quality assurance; and
  • support RMTs to successfully complete all components of their 2024 PDP.

Login details

The Practice Development Program Information Session is open to all CMTBC registrants. Registrants can login to the online session via Zoom at this link:

Registrants are not required to pre-register for the information session.

Please be aware that login support will not be available to registrants on March 25.  Information on how to connect to a meeting can be found through Zoom support – Joining a Zoom Meeting.

Registrants are encouraged to send any questions they may have about the Practice Development Program or Portal in advance to [email protected].

RMTs will also have the opportunity to ask questions, via the chat function, during the information session. Selected questions will be answered during the information session; questions that cannot be answered during the information session will be answered individually to the RMT, or posted on the Quality Assurance Frequently Asked Questions page when appropriate.

Recorded version

For RMTs who are unable to attend the information session on March 25, they will be able to view a recorded version of the information session. The recorded version will be made available after the session on CMTBC’s website.

About the PDP

As part of CMTBC’s redesigned Quality Assurance (QA) program, the College launched the PDP in January 2024. The PDP is a yearly set of requirements for Practising RMTs based on the core competencies of the massage therapy profession. The program provides each Practising RMT the opportunity to both assess and identify areas of improvement within their practice and professional knowledge, skills, abilities, and clinical judgements. For more information, see the Practice Development page.
