This is a reminder to RMTs that ballots for the 2018 CMTBC Board election need to be received by the College’s Registrar by March 1, 2018. CMTBC mailed all active registrants an election package for selecting RMTs to sit on the College’s Board. If you have not received the election package, please contact CMTBC.

In this year’s election, there are four RMT candidates running for three vacant positions on the Board, which currently consists of six RMTs and five public appointees. To assist RMTs in making this important choice, CMTBC has posted the following material on the College’s website:

• Candidates’ biographical summaries and election statements are on the 2018 Board Election page.
• CMTBC asked each of the four candidates questions about the role of the regulator and current issues facing the profession. See 2018 CMTBC Board Election: Candidate Q & A for their answers to these questions.

Each RMT elected in the 2018 Board election will serve a two-year term that begins April 1, 2018. CMTBC Board members meet four to five times per year and provide general governance and policy direction to CMTBC so that it can carry out its public-interest mandate.
