CMTBC will hold the College’s 2018 Annual General Meeting on June 15, 2018, at the Holiday Inn Vancouver-Centre, 711 W. Broadway, Vancouver. The meeting will start at 1 pm.

As outlined in the CMTBC Bylaws, any 10 active registrants in good standing may deliver a written notice to the Registrar at least 30 days prior to the date of a general meeting requesting the introduction of a resolution.

RMTs who wish to submit proposed resolutions for the AGM must download and fill out the resolution form (PDF) and ensure the form is delivered to the Registrar by May 15, 2018, 5 pm.

Before the 2017 AGM, the CMTBC Board committed to considering all resolutions (except those that were voted down by the RMTs in attendance), and affirmed that the focus of the AGM should be on open communication rather than adversarial debate. Feedback received from RMTs indicated that the 2017 AGM was a positive experience. Therefore, the same approach will be taken with the 2018 AGM: any resolutions received by CMTBC will be treated as requests for consideration by the Board, and the focus at the AGM will be on dialogue and consultation.
