Nature of action: An undertaking and consent of the registrant under section 33(6)(c) of the Health Professions Act.
The registrant admitted to committing professional misconduct by allowing a patient to smoke marihuana in her presence, immediately prior to providing the patient with massage therapy in her home-based clinic, on one occasion.
The registrant undertook to refrain from repeating the conduct and to successfully complete a course on professional practice. The registrant further agreed to repay the College $750, which amount represents a portion of the costs of the investigation into this matter. In proposing this resolution to the registrant, the Inquiry Committee considered the fact that the registrant self-reported this incident to the College.
