The public reprimand results from the following conduct, to which Ms. Super admitted. When completing her 2018 renewal application in November 2017, Ms. Super responded to a declaration question which stated “I have been charged with or convicted of a criminal offence under the Criminal Code or the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act” by selecting “No”, thereby making a false declaration, as she had been charged in 1998 with driving while impaired (ultimately concluding with a stay of proceedings).
Reasons: A failure by a registrant to accurately report required information to the College impedes the College’s statutory obligation to regulate the massage therapy profession in the public interest.
The Inquiry Committee is satisfied that the terms of the undertaking and consent agreement will protect the public interest.
