CMTBC is required by law to regulate the massage therapy profession in the public interest. As part of this responsibility, the College responds to public complaints about incompetent, unethical, or unprofessional practice.
In addressing complaints, CMTBC follows procedures established by the Health Professions Act. Where the College takes action on a complaint, its overriding purpose is to protect public safety by addressing any conduct by an RMT that falls below the appropriate professional standard.
