First 10 CECs
All RMTs registered by October 31, 2021 were required to complete CMTBC’s online course on the newly revised Code of Ethics and the new Practice Environment Standard as a requirement of registration renewal for 2022. Successful completion of the online course resulted in 10 CECs applied to Cycle 13 requirements.
Additional CECs (refer to chart above to determine how many CECs you need)
RMTs receive CECs for completing approved continuing education (CE) activities in two categories:
Evidence Informed Practice (EIP) activities – new in Cycle 13 – are awarded 10 CECs. Any CE activity that meets the criteria for approval of EIP activities is awarded 10 CECs. There is no distinction between PD and PE activities in the EIP category. EIP activities can be delivered in person, online, via webinar, or a combination of delivery methods.
Search for approved continuing education activities in Cycle 13 on the Cycle 13 – Approved Continuing Education Activities page.
Previously approved Cycle 12 CE activities that continue into Cycle 13 are either PD (professional development) or PE (practical education) and vary in the number of CECs awarded for approved activities. There is no limit to the number of PD or PE activities that can be applied to Cycle 13 requirements.
Continuing education credits cannot be transferred between different quality assurance cycles.
